Provisional Member Application Anyone who wishes to join the Society as a lineal member but has had difficulty in tracing his or her ancestry to Scotland or to the Americas prior to 1870 may join as a provisional member for up to two (2) consecutive years while researching the documentation to support eligibility as a lineal member. Annual dues are required to be paid to maintain this category of membership; application fee is not due until a formal lineal application is submitted. (current dues are $40 per calendar year.) After completion of this form, you will be redirected to our member dues page to pay for your provisional membership application. This will then complete the application process.
