By now you have heard a lot about COVID-19, the disease caused by the Coronavirus. This is a highly contagious, rapidly spreading “cold” like virus that affects most people in a mild or moderate manner. A very small proportion of infected people have severe disease. Due to its level of contagiousness, various methods have been put in place internationally, nationally, and at state, county and city levels to minimize further spread of this virus. Based on the time line of spread of this virus, it should be anticipated that there will be many many more people infected with this virus.
MORE THAN 95% WILL FULLY RECOVER
In order to limit further spread of this virus, all public meetings, festivals, games, professional sports and more have been cancelled. This affects us as members of ACGS. To date, all Highland and/or Celtic Games through June 15, 2020 have been cancelled. It is highly likely that many more events, maybe all, through the end of the year, may also be cancelled. Our annual Gathering in October will most likely also be cancelled, although it has not yet. By the time it is decided that restrictions can be eased in relation to meetings, it may be too late to negotiate a hotel for our Gathering. So watch this site and we will attempt to keep you current of actions in this awful time.
ALL GAMES THROUGH JUNE 15 HAVE BEEN CANCELLED
